As beautiful to look at as it is to listen to, this premium floorstanding two-and-a-half- way has imprinted itself on our collective memories like few other loudspeakers at any price.

Expect to hear a yin-like warmth combined with ultra-clear transients, low-level resolving power that will have you trotting out stacks of old recordings, and deep full-bodied bass. If that weren’t enough, it’s also gifted with one of the most open trebles in this or nearly any class, courtesy of DALI’s unique ribbon super-tweeter/soft-dome-tweeter module.

Helicon 400 Jubilee is a floorstanding loudspeaker featuring twin identical 6.5” woofer/midrange drive units and the unique combination of the DALI ribbon tweeter and a 1” soft dome tweeter assembled into one unit – exactly patterned after the example of DALI Euphonia, which has also been the inspiration for the exterior styling. The enclosure is finished in beautiful real-wood veneer with exquisite clear lacquer, resulting in a quite unique loudspeaker when combined with the elegance of the enclosure. The components of the crossover network are assembled by hard-wiring, and all internal cabling is done using DALI Cordial cables – all to make sure that signal transmission is perfect.

Connection takes place through newly developed terminals with finger nuts, accommodating even the heaviest of cables. Of course, bi-amping and bi-wiring is possible, and the low-set position of the terminals makes discreet running of cables easy.

Suitably for a loudspeaker of this caliber, the hand-built crossover network is situated inside an air-tight compartment – unfazed by the extreme pressure forces that exist within the chamber of the loudspeaker itself. The entire enclosure has been divided into separate chambers, ensuring control over any tendencies to resonate – a control further optimized by the use of strong bracing between the surfaces. The base plate of the loudspeaker is made from sturdy MDF, with threaded inserts for the included, adjustable spikes no less than 10mm in diameter, giving the loudspeaker a firm foothold.

DALI Helicon 400 has been developed and designed with one goal in mind: To reproduce sound as exquisitely and perfectly as possible in its price range. This is what makes those ”Magic Moments”.

Slightly smaller than the imposing Helicon 800 and suitable as either stereo speakers or main speakers in a surround system, this 2½ way system with two 6.5” woofer/midrange units and the specially developed Helicon high frequency module containing a ribbon tweeter and a 1” soft dome tweeter is a true DALI Helicon. Each woofer is housed in its own chamber and the crossover network is placed inside in a separate third chamber to protect the delicately handmade and hard-wired components from any vibration induced by the extreme pressure waves inside the enclosure.

The enclosure is extremely inert and non-resonant – made from MDF and with several layers glued together under pressure to ensure a complete non-resonant enclosure for the high quality speaker units. The sturdy base is fitted with threaded inserts for the included spikes.

Helicon 800

The top model Helicon 800 is an imposing floor standing speaker – large and heavy. Designed and built for superior performance this loudspeaker incorporates the finest in technology. Essentially a three-way system with two 8” woofers in separate bass reflex chambers, a 6.5” midrange and the specially developed Helicon high frequency module containing a ribbon tweeter and a 1” soft dome tweeter. As it is custom by DALI, the crossover network is handmade and hard-wired. In a “State-of-the-art” loudspeaker like Helicon 800, the crossover networks are mounted in separate chambers protected against vibrations.
